Your mission… should you choose to accept it
The fragments of a legendary clock, designed by watchmaker Charles Cusin, have been entrusted to the heroes of the Escalade. Once reunited, they let you travel back in time to the night of 1602 to lend Mère Royaume a hand.
Equipped with a tablet (augmented reality and geocaching) and a bag of gadgets, you communicate with the heroes of the Escalade and solve puzzles blending history, watchmaking and legend, at key locations in the Old Town. But be quick: the Savoyards are hot on your heels!
As an option, warm up along the way with mulled wine, hot chocolate or tea, served with a little clue.
With two or more teams, each side plays its own role. Among colleagues, friends or family, who will defend the city best?
Adults from CHF 34 per person (minimum 3 people). Children up to 12 years from CHF 24, accompanied by an adult.
100 to 120 minutes. Speed isn’t what matters most: take the time to discover the city.

History of Geneva
The Escalade is Geneva’s most popular festival. It celebrates the city’s victory over the surprise attack by the troops of the Duke of Savoy, Charles Emmanuel I. Our escape game lets you relive that night in the very streets where it happened.

Savoyard soldiers approach the city walls in the dark and raise their ladders to enter the sleeping city.
The alarm
The alarm is raised, the Genevans wake up and defend their city street by street.
Mère Royaume
According to legend, she poured her pot of boiling soup over an attacker. She became the heroine of the Escalade.
At dawn
The attack is repelled and Geneva remains independent.
Today
Every December, Geneva celebrates the Escalade: a historical procession in the Old Town, the song “Cé qu’è lainô”, the Escalade race, and a chocolate pot smashed by the youngest and the oldest.
